West Pointe Bank, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, grew faster than most similar banks in 2025 and lends more than they do to low- and moderate-income borrowers and neighborhoods.
It made 190 loans in 2025, 38% more than in 2024, while similar banks (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans) and the whole market each grew 10%. That was faster than more than four in five of its peers. It has more than doubled since 2018, when it made 78, though it dipped to 87 in 2023.
Low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers took 40.0% of its loans, against 27.9% at peers, more than at nearly nine in ten of them. Poorer neighborhoods took 31.1%, against 17.8%. Both figures matter to banks examined under the Community Reinvestment Act.
It ranks 9 of 231 in Oshkosh-Neenah, where it has lent since 1997, and its share rose from 2.2% to 2.6%. Community First Credit Union leads that market. In Green Bay and Appleton its share rose from 0.1% to 0.3%, small but growing footholds.
Every loan was conventional. Purchases made up 77.9% of its lending, refinances 14.2% and home improvement 7.9%. Its typical loan, $195,000, was a little larger than peers' $175,000.
