TrailWest Bank, a Montana state non-member bank once called Bitterroot Valley Bank, makes larger loans than most similar banks, and more of them on manufactured homes.
Its typical loan was $310,000 in 2025, against $175,000 at similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans. That is larger than at about nine in ten of them. Five years earlier its typical loan was $205,000.
Manufactured homes made up 14.1% of its loans, against 2.9% at peers, more than at over four in five of them. Purchases were 58.6% of its lending and refinances 24.2%, and every loan was conventional.
