A government-loan specialist
Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) made up 32.6% of its lending, against 22.7% at similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans). Loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) were 13.5%, about double the peers' 6.3% and more than at most of them. Conventional loans were barely half its book, at 52.6%.
