A home-buyers' lender
Purchases made up 82.8% of its loans and refinances the rest. It leans to conventional mortgages: 84.7% of its loans, a higher share than about four in five similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans). Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) were 11.3%, against 21.7% for peers. Manufactured homes are rare in its book.
