Select Lending Services, a home-purchase lender that first reported in 2023, made 900 loans in 2025, up 155% on the year.
It reported 94 loans in 2023, 353 in 2024 and 900 in 2025. Similar lenders, those of the same type making between half and twice as many loans, grew 11%, and the whole market 10%. Its growth was faster than at almost all of them. With three years of records, it is too soon to say where its size will settle.
Home purchases made up 84.2% of its loans and refinances the rest. Its typical loan was $425,000, against $305,000 at similar lenders. Most of its loans were conventional, but loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) made up 10.6%, a higher share than at about nine in ten similar lenders. It made almost no loans on manufactured homes.
Though based in Oregon, it lends more in Illinois than in any other state. It lent in 18 states and 57 metros in 2025. That year it entered three Florida markets, among them Naples-Marco Island, where it took 0.2% of lending. In Denver and Portland, both entered in 2023, its share held steady.
Its typical rate was 6.75%, lower than at about seven in ten similar lenders, whose typical rate was 7.38%. It turned down 3.6% of home-purchase applications, close to the 3.9% at similar lenders.
