Our analysis, 2025
ResMac, a non-bank lender based in Florida but busiest in Missouri, grew by more than half in 2025 and does far more manufactured-home and rural lending than lenders of its size.
Its loans rose 55% in 2025, to 325, faster than at almost all similar lenders, meaning independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans. The typical one grew 2%. It filed no report for 2020 to 2022, a gap in the record rather than years without lending, and made 210 loans in 2024.
Manufactured homes made up 13.5% of its loans, against 0.2% at peers. RHS loans (guaranteed by the Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Service) were 10.8%; the typical peer made none. Its typical loan, $265,000, was smaller than at most peers, and 34.0% of its borrowers had low or moderate incomes, against 21.8%.
Some 6.5% of its loans were higher-priced (a rate well above the average for similar loans), against 1.4% at peers. Manufactured-home loans usually carry higher rates, and they are a bigger part of its book than the higher-priced share, so they could account for the gap. Its higher-priced share fell from 18.6% in 2024.
It lends in 16 states, but Missouri is its main one. In Springfield it ranks 54 of 351 lenders, with a share steady at 0.3%. In 2025 it entered several new markets, including Columbia, Missouri, and non-metro Montana.
