PGIM Real Estate Finance makes few loans, but enormous ones: its typical loan in 2025 was $45.2 million, against $415,000 at similar lenders.
Its 93 loans were close to the 94 made by a typical similar lender, meaning another non-bank or government lender making between half and twice as many loans. Its loans were of another order of size altogether. Every one was conventional, with no government-backed lending, and its typical rate of 5.97% was lower than at most similar lenders, whose typical rate was 6.62%.
Refinancing made up 73.1% of its loans in 2025. Purchases were 18.3% and home improvement 8.6%.
