Passumpsic Bank is the second-largest home lender in Burlington, Vermont, though its share there slipped in 2025.
Passumpsic Bank ranks 2 of 146 lenders in Burlington-South Burlington, behind EastRise Federal Credit Union. Its share fell to 6.5% from 7.5%. Its loans rose only 2% while lending across the whole market grew 10%; if Burlington grew at a similar pace, its own slower growth could account for much of the slip. It has lent there since 2001 and now lends in five states.
Almost all its loans, 97.5%, were conventional, and it made no loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration, where similar lenders put 14.9% of theirs.
