Multiples Mortgage, a Puerto Rico mortgage company, grew by 27% in 2025 and gained ground in most of the island's markets.
It made 185 loans in 2025, up from 146, while similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans) shrank by 1%. Its share rose in San Juan, from 1.0% to 1.1%, and in Ponce, from 0.3% to 0.8%. It slipped in Arecibo. Banco Popular de Puerto Rico leads San Juan; The Moneyhouse leads Ponce.
Its typical loan is $125,000, against $325,000 at similar lenders, among the smallest of any of them. Similar lenders are chosen by type and size, not place, so the comparison sets a lender working only in Puerto Rico against lenders elsewhere.
Conventional loans make up 85.9% of its lending, up from 76.0%. Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) fell to 10.8% from 21.9%, and five years earlier they were 43.3%. Loans guaranteed by the Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Service (RHS) are 2.7%, unusual among its peers.
Home purchases make up 77.8% of its loans. All of its lending is in Puerto Rico, across 47 counties and five metros, and so all of it falls in majority-minority areas.
