Minnequa Works Credit Union is a small Pueblo credit union, reporting since 1997, that mostly refinances its members' homes.
It lends in only 3 counties in Colorado and ranked 59 of 264 lenders in Pueblo, where its share slipped from 0.4% to 0.3%. United Wholesale Mortgage and Ent Credit Union led that market. At 32 loans, a few loans either way would account for the change. It merged with Nepco Federal Credit Union in 2006.
Refinances made up 75.0% of its loans and purchases only 3.1%. Its typical loan was $75,000, against $95,000 at similar lenders, credit unions making between half and twice as many loans. Every loan was conventional, as at most of its peers.
