Shrinking against the market
Its loans fell 17% in 2025, to 191, while the whole market grew 10% and similar lenders (independent non-bank lenders making between half and twice as many loans) slipped 1%. Its lending has fallen in most years since a peak of 574 in 2021. Its typical rate was 3.00% in 2020 and 6.75% in 2025, and dearer mortgages may explain much of the longer decline, though not why 2025 was weaker than at its peers.
