A new home-buying lender
Every one of its 168 loans financed a purchase. Some 31.0% were insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and 23.8% guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), against 13.4% and 1.8% at similar lenders, meaning non-banks making between half and twice as many loans. Only 44.6% were conventional, against 84.6% for those peers.
