A shrinking book
The bank made 26 loans in 2025, down 7% from 28 and well below the 93 of 2018. The typical similar lender, a bank of the same type making between half and twice as many loans, made 37. Such lenders also fell 5% while the whole market rose 10%. The data give no reason for the long fall; a small bank may simply be choosing to hold fewer mortgages.
