A long decline
It made 199 loans in 2018, 108 in 2021 and 76 in 2022, then only 12 in 2023. It made 28 in 2024 and 23 in 2025. Its fall of 18% in 2025 was close to that of similar lenders, national banks making between half and twice as many loans, which shrank 15% at the middle while the whole market grew 10%. The record does not say why the bank makes so many fewer home loans than it did; a decline like this can reflect a choice to make fewer of them rather than a loss of customers.
