A shrinking mortgage book
Its count has fallen almost every year: 107 loans in 2018, 50 in 2020, 21 in 2024 and 9 in 2025. Its loans fell 57% in 2025, while the whole market grew 10%. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, also shrank, by 40% in the typical case, and made 14 loans. It may have turned its attention to other kinds of lending; the figures do not say why its home lending has dwindled.
