A steep retreat
Its loans fell 55% in 2025, from 40, while similar lenders (national banks making between half and twice as many loans) fell by a typical 17% and the whole market grew 10%. Only about one in twenty of them shrank faster. The slide began after 2022: it made 69 loans in 2023. The record gives no reason; a bank may choose to lend less on homes for many ordinary reasons, and the figures cannot say which applied.
