Arixa Secured Income Fund is a very small specialist lender whose loan count has fallen each year since it first reported in 2023.
It made 65 loans in 2023, 59 in 2024 and 27 in 2025. The fall of 54% last year compares with a fall of 14% at the typical similar lender (lenders of the same type making between half and twice as many loans), steeper than at more than nine in ten of them.
Its 27 loans were spread over six states, eight metros and nine counties, with California its main state. In 2025 it entered Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia and Durham-Chapel Hill. Every loan was conventional, and none was for a manufactured home.
With so few loans, its shares of purchases, of lending in poorer neighborhoods and its typical rate are too small to read much into. Its loan amounts are also far above those of similar lenders, which may reflect loans on investment property or amounts recorded inconsistently, so its dollar totals and market shares should not be compared with household lenders'.
