AgWest Farm Credit, FLCA makes big conventional loans, mostly in Oregon, with a jumbo share far above similar non-banks' and a sideline in manufactured homes.
Bigger loans than its rivals
Its typical loan was $465,000, against $325,000 for similar lenders, meaning non-banks making between half and twice as many loans. Jumbo loans, those larger than the conforming limit, were 19.4% of its lending; the typical peer's share was 1.0%. That puts it above nearly all of them.
Manufactured homes too
Manufactured homes made up 16.4% of its loans, against 0.2% at similar lenders. Every loan was conventional, with no loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) or guaranteed by Veterans Affairs. Its typical rate, 6.45%, was below most peers'. Its higher-priced share (a rate well above the average for similar loans) was 3.6%, against 1.4%, a gap its manufactured-home lending could account for.
Few borrowers of modest means
Only 4.5% of its borrowers had low or moderate incomes (LMI), against 22.1% at similar lenders, among the lowest twentieth. Loans this large usually go to higher earners, which may explain much of the gap.
Steady at home, reaching out
Its loans rose 2% to 330, in line with peers' 3%. It has lent in Portland, Salem and the countryside of Oregon, Washington and Idaho since 2004. It ranks 53 of 325 lenders in Salem, and it entered Santa Fe in 2025.
Similar lenders: same lender type, originations between half and twice the lender's in the data year.
