A&N Mortgage Services, an Illinois non-bank, grew 11% to 1,483 loans in 2025, in step with its peers, and leans harder on conventional home-purchase loans than they do.
Its loans rose to 1,483 from 1,335. Similar lenders, meaning non-banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew 10%, as did the whole market. Its typical loan rose to $365,000 from $315,000, above the $305,000 of its peers. It made 1,210 loans in 2022 and 1,136 in 2023.
Conventional loans made up 93.9% of its lending, against 77.5% at similar lenders. Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) were 4.3%, a third of its peers' 13.1%. Purchases were 82.1% of its loans. Few of its loans were higher-priced (a rate well above the average for similar loans): 0.8%, against 2.9% for its peers.
Only 13.9% of its loans were in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, fewer than at nearly nine in ten similar lenders, whose typical share was 23.3%. Its share in majority-minority neighborhoods, 22.7%, was lower than at about two-thirds of its peers. Its light FHA lending and the markets it serves may explain this.
It lends in 16 states and 54 metros, and has reported since 2006. It ranks 26 of 902 lenders around Chicago. In Michigan City-La Porte, Indiana, its share rose 0.2 points to 0.6%, placing it 37 of 241; Horizon Bank leads there.
