Our analysis, 2025
Western Sun Federal Credit Union is a Tulsa home-improvement lender whose loans are among the smallest of any credit union its size, and it made almost a third more of them in 2025.
Home improvement made up 57.8% of its 83 loans in 2025 and other purposes 22.9%. Home purchases were only 7.2%. That makes it a lender to existing owners rather than to buyers.

Originated means the loan was made: applications denied, withdrawn or not accepted are not counted. Years with no HMDA report from this lender are left out: since 2020 a bank making fewer than 100 closed-end loans a year need not report.
