A sharp fall in a rising market
The bank made 87 loans in 2025, down from 167 the year before. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew 9%, and the whole market grew 10%. Only about one in a hundred of them fell further. It made 291 loans in 2020, its high point since 2018, and has made fewer since. The data do not say why 2025 was so weak.
