Village Bank and Trust, an Illinois bank, makes far larger home loans than similar lenders and spreads them across 13 states.
Its typical loan was $610,000 in 2025, against $175,000 at similar lenders (national banks making between half and twice as many loans). Jumbo loans (larger than the conforming limit) were 30.6% of its lending, against 2.6% at peers. So its 102 loans came to $85.6 million, higher than about nine in ten peers.

Its loans rose 12% from 91, faster than the 7% of similar lenders. It made only 24 in 2023, against 114 in 2022, a dip the figures do not explain.
