Smaller while rivals grew
United Community Bank made 64 loans in 2025, 7% fewer than a year earlier. Similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew 9%, and the whole market 10%. Five years earlier it made 113. The numbers give no reason for the decline, and at this size a handful of borrowers moves the total.
