Triad Bank, a Tulsa national bank, made four-fifths more loans in 2025 than in 2024, most of it for home improvement and home purchase.
It made 115 loans in 2025, up 80% from 64, while similar lenders (national banks making between half and twice as many loans) grew 5% and the whole market 10%. That is faster than about nineteen in twenty of them. It filed no report for 2020 to 2023; it reported 49 loans in 2018 and 37 in 2019, so 2025 is its largest reported total since at least 2018.
Home improvement was its biggest line, 39.1% of loans, ahead of purchases at 33.0% and refinances at 16.5%. That may explain why its typical loan, $135,000, was smaller than the $185,000 at similar lenders. All of its lending was conventional.
In Tulsa its share held at 0.3%, ranking it 64 of 476 lenders behind Associated Mortgage, Arvest Bank and BOKF; it has lent there since at least 1990. In 2025 it made its first loans in Lawton, Denver, non-metro Texas and non-metro Vermont. Its share in Lawton rose to 0.1%. It is too early to say whether these mark a strategy or a few one-off loans.
