Back in the record
The bank filed no report for 2018 to 2024. That is a gap in the record, not a sign that it stopped lending, and it first reported in 2000. With no report for 2024, there is no growth figure to compare.

Our analysis, 2025
The Hicksville Bank, a small Ohio lender that also lends in Indiana, is back in the public record in 2025 with 37 loans, most of them to buy a home.
The bank filed no report for 2018 to 2024. That is a gap in the record, not a sign that it stopped lending, and it first reported in 2000. With no report for 2024, there is no growth figure to compare.
Home purchases made up 70.3% of its loans and refinances 21.6%. Every loan was conventional. Its typical loan was $145,000, against $175,000 at similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans).
Low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers took 42.4% of its loans, against 26.7% at similar lenders, more than about four in five of them. Only 2.7% of its loans were in LMI tracts, against 18.9%. Much of its lending is in rural Ohio and Indiana, where such tracts may be few. On 37 loans, either share rests on a handful of loans and should not be read too closely.
In Fort Wayne, where it has lent since 2000, it ranks 81 of 304 lenders, and its share rose to 0.1%. It first appeared in Lima in 2025.
Similar lenders: same lender type, originations between half and twice the lender's in the data year. Written from the 2025 HMDA data and checked figure by figure against it.
FIG. 1 — LOANS ORIGINATED, 2025–2025
Originated means the loan was made: applications denied, withdrawn or not accepted are not counted. Years with no HMDA report from this lender are left out: since 2020 a bank making fewer than 100 closed-end loans a year need not report. The Hicksville Bank took 41 applications in 2025.
