State Bank of Newburg, a small Wisconsin bank whose one metro market is Milwaukee-Waukesha, made 86 home loans in 2025, up 69% on the year and back to its 2018 level.
Its loans grew faster than all but about one in twenty similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans). Their typical growth was 9%, and lending across the whole market rose 10%. The record has gaps: the bank filed no report for 2020 to 2022, and it made only 38 loans in 2023.
