State Bank Financial is the fifth-largest mortgage lender in La Crosse, and it makes larger home-purchase loans than most similar banks.
It ranks 5 of 213 lenders in La Crosse-Onalaska, with 3.2% of the market, against 3.3% a year earlier. Altra Federal Credit Union leads with $220.6M. Counting State Bank of LaCrosse, which it absorbed in 2003, it has lent there since at least 1990. The small dip in share could reflect a few loans either way.
