Solera National Bank, a national bank based in Colorado, makes a few dozen home loans a year and scatters them across 15 states, with Texas its main one.
Its 44 loans in 2025 went to 22 counties in 19 metros. Its biggest market was Lubbock, which it entered in 2024; there it ranked 78 of 341 lenders and its share rose to 0.2%. Texas Tech Federal Credit Union led. In Phoenix, Idaho Falls and several other markets it made its first loans in 2025.
Of its loans, 45.5% were in low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods, against 16.7% at the typical similar lender, a national bank making between half and twice as many loans. Just over half, 52.3%, were in majority-minority neighborhoods, against 8.8%. Both shares were higher than at about nine in ten peers.
Purchase loans made up 84.1% of its lending and refinances the rest. Every loan was conventional, and its typical loan, $145,000, was smaller than the peers' $180,000. Its typical rate, 7.00%, was near the middle of similar lenders.
Its loans fell 34% from 67 in 2024, while the typical peer grew 2%. On a base this small, a couple of dozen loans make the difference, and one year says little. It filed no report from 2018 to 2023, so its recent record covers only two years.
