Poorer neighborhoods
Low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods took 40.8% of its loans in 2025, against 17.4% at a typical similar lender (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans). That is higher than at more than nineteen in twenty of them. LMI borrowers took 46.4%, against 30.5%. In 2020 the neighborhood share was only 9.7%; its 2022 merger with another credit union may account for part of the change.
