A sharp fall
Its loans fell 45% to 40, while those of similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans) rose 2%. It is the third fall in a row, from 166 in 2022, and its lowest count since at least 2018. Part of the fall may be a return from an unusually busy 2022: it made 79 loans in 2018 and 53 in 2019. It filed no report for 2020 and 2021, when small banks need not report; those years are gaps, not years without lending.
