A third year of decline
Its loans fell 27% in 2025, while similar lenders, state member banks making between half and twice as many loans, grew 7% and the whole market 10%. About nine in ten of those peers had faster growth. It first reported in 2022, with 105 loans, and has made fewer each year since. The figures do not say why; weaker demand in its rural markets, or a choice to lend less, could explain it.
