HAR-CO Credit Union is a small Maryland lender that makes bigger loans than most credit unions of its size, at a steady pace of about 60 a year.
It made 59 loans in 2025, up 13% from 52. Similar lenders, credit unions making between half and twice as many loans, grew by 7% and the whole market by 10%. It has made between 52 and 76 loans in every year since 2018 except 2021, when it reported only 22. The record does not say why.
