EPIC Federal Credit Union, a small Louisiana credit union, made 62 loans in 2025, 55% more than in 2024, growing faster than most similar lenders.
Its loans rose from 40 to 62, while similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) grew 7%; its rise was higher than about four in five of them. But its count has swung widely since 2018, from 83 in 2020 to 35 in 2023, so one year's rise is not much to read into.
Its typical loan was $180,000, against $95,000 at similar lenders, larger than about four in five of them. Home purchases made up 53.2% of its loans and refinances 41.9%, all conventional. None was higher-priced (a rate well above the average for similar loans), against 3.2% at peers.

It has lent in New Orleans-Metairie since at least 1990. It ranked 65 of 371 lenders there with 0.3% of the market, up 0.2 points; Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Company led. It made its first loans in College Station-Bryan in 2025.
