Cayuga Lake National Bank, a small New York bank, makes small loans, mostly for other purposes and refinancing, and its loan count fell for a third straight year in 2025.
Its typical loan was $75,000, against $182,500 at similar lenders (national banks making between half and twice as many loans), among the lowest of them. Other-purpose loans made up 38.7% of originations and refinances 27.4%. Manufactured homes were 11.3%, against 1.2% at peers. That mix may account for most of the difference.
