AVB Bank made 55% more loans in 2025, doubled its share of the Tulsa market and lent in three new metros.
Originations rose from 58 to 90, against 9% growth at similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans), higher than about nine in ten peers. Dollar volume more than doubled, to $36.6 million. The rise wins back part of the ground lost since 2021, when it made 186 loans.
In Tulsa, OK, where it has lent since 1990, it ranked 37 of 476 lenders and its share rose from 0.3% to 0.6%. Associated Mortgage, Arvest Bank and BOKF led that market.
It made its first loans in Kansas City, KS-MO, Wichita, KS and Wildwood-The Villages, FL in 2025, each with a very small share. Its loans now reach 15 counties in four states. Purchase loans were 53.3% of originations, all conventional.
Of its loans, 26.7% were in low- and moderate-income (LMI) census tracts, against 18.2% at similar banks, higher than about seven in ten of them. Its share of loans to LMI borrowers was near the middle of similar banks.
