Arundel Bank, a small Maryland savings institution, makes bigger loans than most lenders its size, mostly to buy homes, though its 57 loans in 2025 were far fewer than the 208 of 2020.
Its typical loan was $335,000, against $245,000 at similar lenders (savings institutions making between half and twice as many loans), larger than at more than two-thirds of them. Jumbo loans (larger than the conforming limit) were 11.6% of its lending, down from 31.2% in 2024 but still above the 2.0% at peers.
It bought 15 loans in 2025, after none in 2024. The typical similar lender bought none, and more than nine in ten bought fewer. Its own originations fell 7%, while peers' rose 1%.

In Baltimore-Columbia-Towson it ranked 173 of 592 lenders with 0.1% of the market, down 0.1 points; Rocket Mortgage led. On so few loans, a handful fewer moves its share. It has lent there since 1990.
