A lender to poorer borrowers
Borrowers with low and moderate incomes (LMI) took 68.3% of its loans in 2025. At similar lenders, credit unions making between half and twice as many loans, the figure was 31.5%, and almost none of them reached its level. This is no one-off: the share was 62.1% in 2024 and 63.1% five years before. Its loans in poorer neighborhoods (LMI tracts) came to 24.4%, against peers' 17.4%.
