A home-improvement lender
Home improvement made up 65.8% of its 38 loans; refinances took 23.7% and purchases 10.5%. Its typical loan was $50,000. At similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) it was $85,000, and ACT 1st's was lower than at about nineteen in twenty of them. Small improvement loans may explain both that and its total of $2.6 million, about half the $5.5 million at peers.
