Revity Credit Union makes small loans, mostly refinances, and lends to more low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers than about nine in ten similar lenders do.
Revity made 187 loans in 2025, 31% more than in 2024. Similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) grew by 7%, and the whole market by 10%. The rise takes it close to the 201 loans it made in 2022, before a dip to 141 the next year.
Its typical loan was $75,000, against $105,000 at similar lenders, smaller than at about four in five of them. Refinances made up 63.1% of its loans. None carried government backing.
LMI borrowers took 44.4% of its loans, against 27.9% at its peers. Poorer neighborhoods (LMI tracts) took 24.2%, against 17.0%, more than at four in five peers.
