Fixing homes, not buying them
Home improvement made up 45.6% of its loans, other purposes 25.4% and refinances 23.3%. Purchases were only 5.7%. Such loans tend to be small, which fits its typical loan of $75,000. That is lower than at about four in five similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans), whose typical loan was $105,000.
