It lends in 17 states, 31 metros and 78 counties from its Iowa base. It ranks 47 of 396 lenders in Des Moines-West Des Moines and 96 of 465 in non-metro Iowa. In 2025 it first lent in Kennewick-Richland, Fond du Lac and Columbus.
It made 228 loans, up 4% from 219, while similar lenders (savings institutions making between half and twice as many loans) grew 8% and the whole market 10%. Its growth was near the middle. Purchases made up 65.4% of its loans and home improvement 13.2%.
Low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers took 28.3% of its loans, up from 18.8% in 2024 and more than at about two-thirds of similar lenders, where the share is 24.2%. Poorer neighborhoods (LMI tracts) took only 9.3%, against 15.8%, lower than at about four in five. Its spread across many markets outside Iowa is a possible reason.
Its share of Des Moines-West Des Moines fell to 0.5% from 0.6%. GreenState Credit Union leads there. Stronger lending by the credit unions at the top, or more of its own lending going outside Iowa, could explain it. Its typical loan, $175,000, is smaller than the $227,500 at similar lenders.
Similar lenders: same lender type, originations between half and twice the lender's in the data year. Written from the 2025 HMDA data and checked figure by figure against it.
