A government-loan lender
Loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) were 10.1% of its lending and loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) 11.0%. The typical similar lender (a state non-member bank making between half and twice as many loans) made only conventional loans. Purchases were 79.2% of its book, and its typical loan, $275,000, was larger than peers' $175,000.
