CCFBank made 36% more loans in 2025, faster growth than at nearly nine in ten similar lenders, and in its first year in Waterloo-Cedar Falls, IA it ranks fifth.
It made 289 loans, up from 213, while similar lenders (national banks making between half and twice as many loans) grew 5% and the whole market 10%. The dollars it lent rose from $68.7 million to $127.1 million. It is still far below the 1,412 loans it made in 2020.
In Eau Claire, WI, its largest market, its share rose from 2.2% to 4.0% and it ranks 6 of 220 lenders; Royal Credit Union leads there. In Waterloo-Cedar Falls, IA it took 3.0% of the market, rank 5 of 168. In Mankato, MN its share doubled, from 0.7% to 1.4%.
Low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers took 41.2% of its loans, against 25.6% at similar lenders, a higher share than at more than nine in ten of them. Five years earlier the figure was 27.4%. Its share in poorer neighborhoods, 11.8%, was lower than its peers' 16.5%, which may reflect where in its 56 counties its borrowers live.
Only 0.7% of its loans were in majority-minority neighborhoods, against 7.4% at similar lenders. Its markets, mostly in Wisconsin and Minnesota, may simply have few such neighborhoods.
