Our analysis, 2025
BOM Bank grew 31% in 2025 and won a bigger share of lending in Shreveport-Bossier City and Alexandria, its two largest Louisiana metros.
Its loans rose 31% to 188, against 10% at similar lenders (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans), faster than at about four in five of them. The rise followed a fall from 288 loans in 2022 to 143 in 2024.
In Alexandria, where it ranks 11 of 152 lenders, its share rose to 2.8% from 1.7%; Red River Bank leads there. In Shreveport-Bossier City its share rose to 1.2% from 0.3%. It has lent in both since 2004.
Its typical loan rose to $205,000 from $155,000, and the amount it lent to $53.5 million from $32.3 million. All its loans were conventional, and purchases made up 56.4%.
Majority-minority areas took 20.7% of its loans, against 6.5% at similar lenders, more than at about three in four of them. Low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers took 20.3%, fewer than at about three-quarters of its peers. Loan size may be one reason: its typical loan was larger than the $175,000 at similar lenders.
Similar lenders: same lender type, originations between half and twice the lender's in the data year. Written from the 2025 HMDA data and checked figure by figure against it.
