Alliance Bank lends mostly to Texas home buyers, and its loans are bigger than at about four in five similar banks.
Its typical loan was $245,000, against $175,000 at similar lenders, state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans. Jumbo loans (larger than the conforming limit) made up 11.2% of its lending, against 1.4%, more than at about nine in ten of them. So its 128 loans came to $46.6 million, more than peers' $33.9 million.
Home purchases made up 73.4% of its loans and refinancing 17.2%. Every loan was conventional. Manufactured homes were 1.6%, below peers' 3.0%.
In Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington it ranked 292 of 1,026 lenders. In Sherman-Denison its share slipped to 0.1% from 0.2%, a change of a few loans for a lender this size. It first lent in Abilene in 2025. Its loans rose 3%, while similar lenders grew by 9%.
Borrowers with low and moderate incomes (LMI) took 21.9% of its loans, up from 15.7% in 2024. That is still below the 27.8% at similar lenders, and lower than at about two-thirds of them. Its larger loans may point to borrowers with higher incomes, which could account for the gap. Neighborhoods where most residents are minorities took 9.4%, against 5.9% at peers.
