Acadia Federal Credit Union, based in Fort Kent, ME, lends on manufactured homes as few credit unions do, and its lending jumped 76% in 2025.
It made 231 loans, up from 131. Similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) grew 6% at the middle, so it grew faster than more than nine in ten of them. The rise took it back near its 2021 and 2022 levels of 238 and 243 loans.

In Bangor, ME its share rose from 0.5% to 1.5%, putting it 15 of 182 lenders; Bangor Savings Bank leads. In non-metro Maine, its biggest market, it ranks 39 of 346. It made no loans in majority-minority neighborhoods, against 11.9% at similar lenders, which may reflect a footprint of 10 counties, all in Maine.
