Government-backed purchase lending
Purchase loans were 92.4% of its lending. 37.8% of its loans were FHA (insured by the Federal Housing Administration), 5.7% VA (guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs) and 3.6% RHS (guaranteed by the Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Service); the typical similar lender (state non-member banks making between half and twice as many loans) made none of these. Its typical rate, 6.25%, was lower than at nearly nine in ten similar lenders, and 0.3% of its loans were higher-priced (a rate well above the average for similar loans).
