Collins Community Credit Union is the third-largest lender in Cedar Rapids, a credit union that grew 27% in 2025 and lends to LMI (low- and moderate-income) borrowers more than about nine in ten similar lenders.
It ranked 3 of 210 lenders in Cedar Rapids, where it has lent since before 1990, behind GreenState Credit Union and Hills Bank and Trust Company; its share rose 0.1 points to 4.7%. It also ranked 17 of 114 in Dubuque and 18 of 171 in Iowa City.
Originations rose 27% to 781, against 8% at similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans) and 10% in the whole market. They were 4,579 in 2020 and 3,130 in 2022, then 897 in 2023; the figures here do not show the reason for that fall.
