Arizona Financial Credit Union grew 21% in 2025, about twice as fast as similar credit unions, and gained share in each of the four Arizona metro markets on its page.
Originations rose 21% to 2,185, faster than about four in five similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans), whose growth was 10%, as was the whole market's. Its share rose 0.4 points to 2.1% in Lake Havasu City-Kingman, where it ranked 8 of 356, and to 0.5% in Phoenix, where it ranked 39 of 879; it also gained in Flagstaff and Prescott Valley.
Home improvement was 37.1% of its loans and other purposes 33.6%; home purchases were 10.6%. Its typical loan, $75,000, was smaller than at nearly all peers, yet its jumbo (larger than the conforming limit) share, 7.4%, was higher than at more than four in five.
LMI (low- and moderate-income) borrowers took 30.4% of its loans, against 26.9% at peers, and LMI areas 17.8%, against 15.1%. Majority-minority areas took 24.8%, about double peers' 12.1%.
It turned down 4.8% of decided first-lien refinance applications on owner-occupied homes, against 19.9% at peers, among the lowest of all, and 3.4% of home-purchase applications, against 6.3%.
