A fall against a growing market
Originations fell 19% to 2,099, lower growth than at nearly all similar lenders (credit unions making between half and twice as many loans), while the whole market grew 10%. Lending by value fell less, from $541.0 million to $514.8 million, as its typical loan rose from $135,000 to $165,000. It was its lowest total since at least 2018. A pull-back in one product line or market could account for it; figures by product and state would show which.
